    Strawberry and Chia Souffle

    Strawberry and Chia Souffle is a easy dessert to whip, a blend of strawberry and chia gives a unique and healthy twist to it.

    With Valentine’s Day round the corner, I realised that I need to post a couple of posts here. May the season of love and peace bring utmost happiness. To me Valentine’s Day encompasses all the close ones; hubby, family members and all my friends. Cherish the loved ones, create a bond that lasts for a life time.

    Strawberry is one of my favourite fruits or rather the one fruit that I get easily here in my region. Wish I could get mulberries and raspberry for a change, but alas! for now this is good. Presenting Strawberry and Chia Souffle. The benefits of chia seed are so many that I try to add it in some form in our diet. A few other desserts to try : Vanilla Pudding, No Bake Swiss Roll

    STRAWBERRY AND CHIA SOUFFLE

    Ingredients:

    • 200 ml fresh cream
    • 10 strawberries
    • 6 tsp sugar
    • 3 teaspoon agar agar
    • 150 ml water
    • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

    Method:

    1. Soak chia seeds in water.
    2. Wash strawberries and make a pulp with sugar.
    3. Put the cream in a bowl.
    4. Heat the water, put agar agar in it and soak it for five minutes.
    5. Boil the soaked agar agar on a low flame, keep stirring, it becomes a gelatinous substance, put it aside for sometime.
    6. Whisk the cream until peaks are formed, put the pulp to it. Add the soaked chia seeds to it.
    7. Once the agar agar is warm, gently fold in the soaked agar agar to it.
    8. Put it in the glass bowls and allow to set.

    Take a tip:

    1. Adding of chia seeds is optional, you can skip it and use only strawberry.

    Servings: 4 servings
    Course: Dessert, vegetarian
    Cuisine: international

    Ingredients
      

    • 200 ml fresh cream
    • 10 strawberry
    • 6 teaspoon sugar
    • 4 teaspoon agar agar
    • 150 ml warm water
    • 1 tablespoon chia seed

    Method
     

    1. Soak chia seed in water.
    2. Wash the strawberry and make a puree of it with sugar.
    3. Put the cream in a bowl. 
    4. Heat the water, put agar agar in it and soak it for five minutes.
    5. Boil the soaked agar agar on a low flame, keep stirring, it becomes a gelatinous substance, put it aside for sometime.
    6. Whisk the cream until peaks are formed, put the pulp to it. Add the soaked chia seeds to it.
    7. Once the agar agar is warm, gently fold in the soaked agar agar to it. 
    8. Put it in the glass bowls and allow to set.

    Strawberry Ice cream is a delectable dessert made from fresh strawberries.

    Summer and ice creams go hand in hand. They are delicious treats which keeps the body cool and mind warm. Strawberry ice cream is one such delectable dessert.

    It is the season of strawberries. Deep red, luscious berry are simple joys which most of us can indulge these days. This strawberry ice cream recipe ce cream has the goodness of strawberrry pieces in it. Do give a try, I am sure you will like it.

    The other ways to use strawberry are  Strawberry Lassi, Strawberry Jam and Strawberry Mousse.

    Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe :

    Ingredients:

    • 400 grams milkmaid
    • 200 ml fresh cream
    • 12 strawberry (medium sized)
    • 1 teaspoon sugar

    Method:

    Remove the stalk and wash the strawberry. Pat dry.

    Take two strawberry, cut them into small pieces. Add a spoon of sugar to it and keep it aside.

    Blend the berries to a puree.

    Pour condensed milk and fresh cream to it.

    Give a swirl for thirty second. Again for another fifteen to twenty seconds.

    Pour the ice cream mixture to a container.

    Top it with soaked strawberry pieces. Close the lid  and refrigerate for three hours.

    Delicious Strawberry Icecream

    Strawberrry ice cream is delicious and an all time favourite. The fresh pieces of the fruit in it gives a nice taste.
    Prep Time 10 minutes
    Cook Time 3 hours
    Total Time 3 hours 10 minutes
    Servings: 6 people
    Course: Dessert
    Cuisine: international

    Ingredients
      

    • 12 strawberry medium sized
    • 400 ml condensed milk
    • 200 ml fresh cream
    • 1 teaspoon sugar

    Method
     

    1. wash the strawberry and pat dry. Take two of them, cut into small pieces, put in sugar and keep it aside.
    2. Blend the strawberries to a puree. Pour condensed milk and fresh cream to it. 
    3. Give a swirl for thirty second. Again repeat for ten seconds.
    4. pour into ice cream container. 
    5. Top it with pieces of strawberry.
    6. Deep freeze for three hours. Strawberry ice cream is ready to serve.

    Notes

    Do not blend for a long time. It will be sticky and hard.

    Pomegranate is another fruit that we bring regularly. I use it regularly to garnish my salads (fruit or vegetable) or in curds rice. Anywhere, it imparts more taste to the food. Of late, I am extracting juice and using it in a couple of desserts. It tastes awesome. Presenting to you “pomegranate mousse”.

    Benefits of pomegranate are many. It is  one of the healthiest foods. It consists of fibre, proteins, Vitamin C, Vitamin K , folate and potassium. Pomegranate consists of punicalagine and punicic acid, two unique substances which are found only in this fruit.

    The arils (seeds) are sweet and  eaten likewise. The juice is also healthy as it has many  medicinal uses.

    Regular intake of this fruit is found to help prevent prostrate and breast cancer. It helps to reduce the blood pressure and may also reduce the risk of heart diseases.  It has anti inflammatory properties. It may help in improving the memory.

    One can eat pomegranate arils as a snack. Apart from that, do give a try to this recipe.

    POMEGRANATE MOUSSE

    Ingredients:

    • 4 pomegranate
    • 200 ml fresh cream
    •  1-2 tablespoon sugar
    • 2 teaspoon agar agar
    • 1 tablespoon warm water

    Method :

    • Peel the skin of the pomegranate and remove the arils.
    • Keep aside a bowl of it.
    • Put the  remaining arils  in the juicer. Pass it through a sieve.
    • Add sugar to the juice.
    • Take the cream and blend both together.
    • Take warm water in a bowl and mix agar agar to it.
    • Stir it into pomegranate and cream mix.
    • Pour into bowls and set for four hours.
    • Top it with arils and serve.

    Prep Time 10 minutes
    Cook Time 4 hours

    Ingredients
      

    • 3 pomegranates juice yielded 250ml
    • 2 tablespoon sugar
    • 200 ml frsh cream
    • 2 teaspoon agar agar
    • 1 tablespoon warm water

    Method
     

    1. Peel the skin and remove the arils.
    2. Keep a few aside.
    3. Blend them and pass through a sieve to get the juice. Mix sugar to it.
    4. Take the cream and blend both together.
    5. Mix agar agar in warm water.
    6. Stir it into pomegranate and cream mixture.
    7. Pour it into bowls and allow to set for four hours.
    8. Top it with arils and serve.

    Notes

    Readymade juice can be used.  Only a few arils for topping will be required.
    Cook time refers to the setting time here

    It’s the season of strawberries, the bright red berry fruits are luscious and delightful. One cannot resist these berries, and we find many ways to use them. Here is one such easy to make dessert, strawberry mousse.

    Strawbery is not only gorgeous to see, the serine red with bright green hood is just irreseistible.  The ripe ones are great to eat, these berries are also  packed with many benefits. They  boost immunity and rich in  anti oxidants. They help fight bad cholestrol. They help regulate blood pressure and fights cancer. They help in maintaining the weight of the body.

    Over to the recipe of Strawberry Mousse

     

     

    Strawberry mousse
    Recipe Type: Dessert

    Serves: 4
    A delicious blend of strawberry with cream.
    Ingredients
    • Strawberry 10
    • Fresh cream 200ml
    • Sugar 1tbsp
    • Agar agar 1tsp
    • water 2tbsp
    Instructions
    1. Wash the strawberry and pat dry.
    2. Cut them into halves.
    3. Make powder ofagar agar and put it in hot water, stir and keep aside.
    4. Blend the berry and sugar.
    5. Add cream and whisk again. Do not whip for a long time.
    6. Finally, add the mixture, give a stir, pour it in small bowls and allow to set for two hours. Agar agar sets at room temperature, keep it in the refrigerator later.
    7. Serve chilled
    Notes
    Agar agar is used in the recipe as I have tried to make it vegetarian. You can use gelatin instead and immediately keep it to set in refrigerator.
