Cucumber Smoothie is a coolant food for summer.

I am on the look out for better break fast option these days and by far this has been the tastiest one, Cucumber Smoothie. It’s ideal for summer and hardly takes a couple of minutes to whip it.

Cucumber has cooling properties and helps to stay dehydrated. It prevents constipation and formation of kidney stones. It helps in preventing heart disease. It regulatesย  blood pressure and helps inย  controlling diabetes.

Yoghurt helps to keep your gut healthy. It contains probiotics that keep your digestive and immune system working well. It is a good source of protein. It is also good for bone health. Studies have shown that it aids in weight loss.

Cucumber Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3 cucumber (small variety)
  • 150 ml yoghurt
  • 150 ml water
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder

Method:

  1. Wash and cut the cucumber into circles.
  2. Put it in a blender and give a swirl.
  3. Add yoghurt and water, blend again.
  4. Add salt and cumin powder to it, give a swirl, pour in glass.
  5. Chill it for sometime.

Take a tip:

  • Use low fat curd.
  • Use fresh curds.

Cucumber Smoothie

Cucumber smoothie is a coolant for hot summer months. 
Prep Time 5 minutes
10 minutes
Servings: 2 glasses
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: Indian

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cucumber
  • 150 ml yoghurt / curd
  • 150 ml water
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder

Method
 

  1. Wash and cut the cucumber into small pieces. 
  2. Blend it for one minute, you can even use the mixer. 
  3. Add yoghurt and water to it. Give a swirl. 
  4. Put salt and cumin powder, again blend for a few seconds. 
  5. Pour in glasses. Serve chilled. 

Notes

I have used the regular, small cucumber. You can use the large variety too. Scrape the skin and adjust the quantity accordingly.
Any yoghurt can be used, but use fresh curds. You can check this yoghurt
